Ryder
A gentle gelding being considered for a companion or retirement placement.
Meet Ryder
Ryder is a gentle horse who is approachable, easy to catch, and comfortable standing near people.
Training and riding
JDFHR has not ridden Ryder and does not represent him as a riding horse.
Groundwork
Can be haltered and led.
Best-fit home
A companion or retirement home that can support ongoing dental care and weight management.
Handling notes
Catch / halter / lead: Easy to catch, halter, and lead.
At a glance
Gentle, approachable, and easy to catch. He stands near people and accepts treats.
Medical / health
He has previously had his teeth floated. Difficulty maintaining weight associated with dental condition is being followed with another dental evaluation and float scheduled.
Current limitations
Companion or retirement placement rather than a riding home. Dental follow-up is pending.
Background
Ryder and Bolt were purchased by JDFHR from an auction approximately 1.5 years ago. Little previous history was available.
Adoption note
Contact JDFHR to discuss a companion or retirement match after his dental follow-up.
Could Ryder be a fit?
Contact JDFHR to ask questions and discuss the next step. An inquiry is the beginning of a careful match, not a promise of placement.
